Personal Life
Well, yes, Ravichandran Ashwin is one of the greatest spinners we have had in the history of Indian cricket, and he actually comes from Chennai. And just like many other legendary players out there, Ashwin also started playing cricket when he was just a kid. Though, he still went on to pursue an engineering degree from SSN College later on in his life. And then, back in 2011, he got married to his childhood friend Prithi Narayanan, and then in 2015 and 2016, he had two cute daughters, Akhira and Aadhya.

Professional Life
Ashwin really had a long career in cricket playing for India, like he debuted back in June 2010 and then went on to announce his retirement from all formats of international cricket on December 18, 2024, after the third Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Throughout his great career, he went on to take about 765 wickets in all formats of the game, and he also scored well with the bat whenever the team needed him in tough situations.
IPL Career
Ashwin has surely retired from international cricket, but he’s still playing in IPL. Right now, playing for CSK in IPL 2025, Ashwin is actually the 2nd most senior player in the team, after MS Dhoni, of course. Yes, once again, Ashwin is part of the CSK team, the very team he began his IPL career with back in 2009. And just to give you perspective on how important a bowler or character Ashwin is in IPL, especially for CSK, he is the 5th highest wicket-taking bowler in the history of IPL with 185 wickets (and counting) to his name.
