After that, the family shifted to Pune as his dad, Pranav Kumar Pandey, was an Army officer who later became an industrialist entrepreneur. His mother, Suchitra Singh, is a homemaker running things pretty cool at home. But here is another cool bit, you see, his younger brother, Raj Kishan, actually played some state-level cricket, which not a lot of people know about.

Well, as for his personal love life, well, there is nothing that he has disclosed publicly, so we don’t know for sure anything about that. And yes, he’s definitely not married yet.

Professional Life and IPL Career

Rahul played a lot of cricket down there in Gymkhana, Pune, which is, like, a big thing in Pune, you know? And if you think like he’s some new player, well, just know that he started his first-class cricket career back in 2012 with Maharashtra, but the real thing, which was IPL 2017, Rising Pune Supergiant. Oh man, the fearless batting, it was mind-blowing. Like that season alone, Rahul Tripathi went on to smash a whopping 391, and that’s what got him a name in IPL.

From there, he hopped onto his journey with Rajasthan Royals and then Kolkata Knight Riders, but boy, where he impressed everyone, it was with Sunrisers Hyderabad, like without a single doubt, for sure. Like, in the 2024 season of IPL alone, we scored somewhere around 400 runs for SRH but still, they went on to release him, and now in IPL 2025, he’s actually part of the Chennai Super Kings main team. In the auctions, CSK went for him with a price tag of 3.40 crore rupees to set him as an opener, though, so far in 7 matches as of 19th April, he hasn’t performed that well. But sure, we hope that he’ll show off his skills in the very next match.
