Personal Life
Faf du Plessis was born in Pretoria, South Africa. He studied at a well known school that also had other famous cricketer like AB de Villiers. Later he studied at the University of Pretoria.
In 2013 he married his long time girl friend Imari Visser. They have two lovely daughters Amelie and Zoey du Plessis. Off the field he enjoys driving stylish cars like Audi and BMW.
Cricket Career
Faf started playing for the South African team in 2011, first in ODIS, then in test. In his very first test against Australia, he played an amazing innings of 110 not out helping South Africa save the match. He made is T20 debut on 8 September 2012 against England.

- 50 T20s – 1528 runs
He became the captain of South Africa in all 3 formats. People respect him for his calm nature under difficult situation. In 17 February 2021 he retired from text cricket but still plays T20 leagues around the world.
IPL Journey
Faf has had a long and successful IPL journey. He started his IPL journey in 2011 with CSK and became one of the most dependable players. He won two IPL titles in 2018 and in 2021 with playing with CSK. In 20121 final against Kolkata Knight riders(KKR) he played an amazing knock of 88 in 59 balls and was named player of the match.
Apart from CSK he also played for Rising Pune Supergiant for a short time. In 2022 he joined RCB and became the captain of the team. Under his leadership RCB performed very well. In the 2025 auction Faf was picked by Delhi Capitals for his base price of 2 crore. He has also been named vice captain of the team.
